This machine was created with the aim of working the specific force of the stroke in the kayak. On the one hand, it seeks the very action of applying force, but without forgetting all the stabilizing muscles of the trunk and legs that make it possible to transmit force to the boat and convert it into speed. The flywheel does the same thing as the water when we paddle, so the faster we go, the less time we have to apply force and continue to increase our speed. The masses comply with the three phases of a regatta: - With 4 masses it simulates starting the kayak where when going slow, we still have more time to apply force. - With 2 masses it represents the end of the acceleration phase and the reaching of maximum speed, here the water is already going fast and the time we have to apply force is decreasing. - 0 masses represents rowing at maximum speed, where we face the minimum time to apply force in the water and where due to the speed itself, the technical gesture is complicated by the precision necessary to not stop the boat. Tested on canoeing athletes, this version of the RSP brand perfectly simulates the tension time of a paddle in the water. This accessory allows the athlete to apply different forces, knowing that their response time will have to be in accordance with that applied force. https://youtu.be/ppRRAaamlrI
